The Official International Agatha Christie Festival
The Agatha Christie Festival has been a highlight of the year since 2004. The festival changed in 2014, bringing together a series of separate events and separate venues in to one single, impressive, International Agatha Christie Festival.
The 2015 festival offers up the 125th birthday celebrations for one of the country’s best-known writers. The festival covers the birthday itself, running from 11-19 September, which means you could be in Torre Abbey, with other Christie fans, on the 15th.

How to get to Torre Abbey for the Agatha Christie Festival
We think you should liftshare. Torre Abbey is a wonderful building, dating back to 1196, and a stunning part of the English Riviera. You can check out the official website and pick up a season pass
If you come down to Torbay for the festival then why not stay to check out Brixham Museum, Torquay Museum or Kent's Cavern.
The Abbey is 10 minutes drive from Torquay, about 20 minutes from Paignton and 50 minutes from either Plymouth or Exeter. Fans come from much further afield for the festival. Why drive alone when you could have someone to contribute towards petrol and discuss your favourite book with?
There are pay and display car parks 2 minutes walk from the Abbey. If you are a blue badge holder then there are parking spaces at Torre Abbey for you.
