Argentine tango is a beautiful, captivating and sensual dance based on passion, sentiment and love. During the first week of June, Bournemouth Tango stages this annual festival of Music and dance events in locations spread out across the town to celebrate Argentina’s most famous dance.
The festival is Bournemouth's biggest tango extravaganza, with a seven-day celebration of tango of tango recitals, music and milongas (social dances), book signings, and film screenings at venues across the town. Hundreds of festival-goers from the UK and abroad are expected to attend the festival.
Participation in the music and dance, like most of the festival’s events, is free of charge and the festival is not only for tango diehards but for anyone with an interest in the genre.
The festival will held in and around Bournemouth Town’s Cafe, Pubs, Parks & Gardens, Beach and other social spaces.
