The spectacular Emirates Stadium is the home of Arsenal Football Club
, one of the country’s biggest and most successful clubs. The Gunners moved into the state-of-the-art stadium back in 2006 and now attract 60,000 capacity crowds for the vast majority of their domestic and European fixtures.
So whether you’re a season ticket holder attending every match, or simply visiting for a one-off game or stadium tour, rest assured there are plenty of ways to get to the club’s home in North West London. From tubes and buses to cycling and car shares, this helpful Liftshare guide has got you covered.
How to get to Emirates Stadium
Train & Tube
The closest tube station operates on the Piccadilly Line and is aptly named Arsenal, ideally located within a two minute walk of the stadium. Simply exit the station, head right along Gillespie Road onto Drayton Park, then cross the foot bridge by the main ticket office.
Other nearby stations include Finsbury Park, Drayton Park and Highbury & Islington – all within a ten minute walk of the ground and serving boroughs and neighbourhoods across London
The stadium is well served by a variety of bus routes, with numerous stops located within a short walk of all the main entrances. You can view a detailed map of all the bus services running to and from Emirates Stadium here
The residential streets surrounding the stadium are subject to parking restrictions (permit holders only) on match days, and so parking at a park & ride train or tube station and completing the final leg of the journey by rail or bus may be your best option.
If you’re visiting outside of a match day, however, then on-street parking near the stadium should be easier to come by. Sat nav users should plug in the N5 1BU post code.
The ‘All Arsenal’ supporter shop on Drayton Park is home to a secured bicycle parking facility, ideal for those wishing to travel to and from the match on two wheels. There are numerous bike-friendly routes spread across the local area, with additional parking options detailed here
Lift share to and from Emirates Stadium
The Emirates Stadium has a capacity of 60,000 and is full on most match days, so needless to say there are plenty of others looking to travel to and from the ground. So why not take advantage of the demand by arranging a car share scheme? Invite friends, families or strangers to join you on your journey, enabling you to split the fuel cost and enjoy some company along the way.
