Get to Villa Park

Car share to Trinity Road, Birmingham B6, United Kingdom

Villa Park has been the home of Aston Villa FC for well over 100 years, during which time the famous Birmingham club has racked up a host of domestic honours as well as the highly coveted European Cup.

The club’s famous ground is a UEFA 5-star rated stadium which makes for a fantastic match day experience for both home and away supporters. Getting to the stadium couldn’t be easier thanks to a range of affordable transport options serving Birmingham and beyond, all of which are outlined in this helpful Liftshare travel guide.

How to get to Villa Park

Train
Witton Station is located within a five minute walk of the stadium, with frequent services departing to and from both Birmingham New Street Station and the nearby town of Walsall. Alternatively, catch a train to Aston Station, where you can connect to Birmingham New Street and a host of other nearby towns. Aston Station is conveniently located within a 15-20 minute walk of Villa Park.

Travelling by train from further afield? Birmingham New Street is the city’s main railway hub and operates services to cities across the UK, enabling hassle-free connection to the Witton/ Aston Station routes.

Bus
Several city bus routes serve Villa Park and the surrounding area, with the number 7 and 11 routes providing easy access to and from the city centre and beyond. Both routes stop at and depart from the Wilton Road, Aston Lane and Wilton Square areas.

Car
Motorists can use the B6 6HE postcode to easily navigate to the stadium with the help of their sat nav; however, please note that most of the match day car parks will have different postcodes.

There are considerable traffic restrictions in place around Villa Park before, during and after fixtures, and parking on the surrounding residential streets is strictly limited to permit holders. Several match day car parks are located within walking distance of the ground, so it’s important to plan ahead in order to navigate around the restricted traffic zones.

Visiting the stadium outside of a match day? Numerous parking options are available, with the North Stand car park offering easy access to the ticket centre and retail store.
